Flowtrek’s mission is to seek, represent and support the development of technologies that aim to streamline the drug development process and reduce the excessively high cost of attrition currently being encountered.
Taking direction from the FDA critical path initiatives Flowtrek’s goal is to offer applications, products and custom solutions that aim to:
- Accelerate the provision of information rich data
- Facilitate informed decision making
- Broaden the range of synthetic routes available to provide non intuitive chemical diversity and
- Reduce the number of syntheses needing to be undertaken.

Collaboration with a second generation microwave engineering company that is developing a platform optimized for flow synthesis at both micro and meso scale is underway and will be announced in due course.

Flow synthesis whether microscale or mesoscale creates opportunities to explore chemical space beyond the capability of conventional synthesis approaches and when linked with the Cresset FieldStere software researchers are able to rapidly optimize desirable properties for a new chemical entity, suggest unrelated structures having similar biological properties but truly diverse chemical structures and further more provide them with opportunities to protect intellectual property.
The Syrris and Dolomite products provide a comprehensive array of configurable systems, components and custom solutions for a broad spectrum of meso and micro scale flow synthesis applications.
The power of molecular Imaging to non invasively determine efficacy and occupancy data for a drug candidate at an early stage in the development cycle has the potential to save multiple millions of $’s if employed at a sufficiently early stage in a drugs development.
For the production of molecular imaging agents whether for PET or SPECT applications the Advion Nanotek system provides a unique opportunity to dramatically accelerate the optimization and production of novel tracers for both animal and human studies.
Within the last two years there have been new tracers produced at the rate of one per month with reported yields both RCY and TCY substantially higher than possible using conventional approaches. The speed of optimization has been such that tracers can be optimized for production purposes within a matter of a day or two.
